North East Insurance Brokers was formed in 2009 and owned and ran by Scott Walton. Scott has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry working both directly for insurers such as Pearl Assurance, NIG and Axa in addition to working for a national brokerage.
 

In late 2014 North East Insurance Brokers was acquired by East Pennine Insurance Consultants Ltd (EPIC) who own and run Fletcher Smith Insurance, an independent brokerage with a head office based in Stocksbridge, Sheffield. North East Insurance Brokers became a trading name of EPIC with Scott becoming a director and shareholder of EPIC. Scott continues to deal predominantly with clients in the North East area.
